The problem, as it seems,

is that I’m hardly ever publicly serious.
I abhor awkward silences, and thereby avoid creating such environments, or better, try to quell situations where everyone has gone eerily silent. I don’t exactly like to make my public life any more austere than it has to be, because I like it when people are happy.
